Accreditations
Joint Commission
Accredited Hospices of America has achieved accreditation from the prestigious Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The Joint Commission is a not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 21,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States, including hospice providers. JCAHO status certifies that a hospice program meets strict Medicare and Joint Commission standards and symbolizes the quality of care expected from Accredited Hospices of America.
Medicare and Medicaid Licensure
Accredited Healthcare of America is re-certified every three years by the Centers with Medicare and Medicaid Services. This recertification process includes an extensive review of patient clinical records (including the plan of care) as well as patient visits (with patient and family consent) to ensure all required services are being provided (and appropriately documented) in a professional and appropriate manner.
Continuing Education
Our staff is routinely required to attend continuing education workshops on a variety of hospice-related topics that are designed with the enhancement of the patient-experience in mind.
